Amadeo Morelos

b. 1992, Morelia, México. Amadeo Morelos is a Morelia-based artist. In his paintings, sculptures, and drawings, the human form is connected to both the allegory of the hero’s journey and the concept of the artist. Morelos’s figurative artworks blend mythological narratives, like the stories of Hercules and Apollo, with the substance of present-day life: Branded clothing, dumbbells, and cans of tanning spray are scattered.
