Christiane Pooley (b.1983, Chile) explores place as both a physical environment and an emotional state that transcends time and geographical boundaries. Her paintings mix memories with archival images to create poetic, liminal spaces and scenes that teeter on the edge of reality and dream. Her work has been exhibited at Perrotin, Paris, Hong Kong, Shanghai; Kristin Hjellegjerde Gallery, London; Gallery 38, Tokyo; and Galería Patricia Ready, Santiago, among other institutions.
