Daniel Gibson is a Los Angeles-based artist widely recognized for his brightly colored paintings of abstract faces, objects, and “borderscapes,” referring to his depictions of the land near the California and Mexico border. Gibson’s works feature prominent brush strokes and erratic swirling shapes which blend into harmonious disorder within his frames.
