Ryan Schnider

b. 1980, Indianapolis, IN, USA. Ryam Schneider is a Joshua Tree-based artist that has experimented with various art forms which reflect his appreciation of raw materials and celebrate Mother Nature. Often painting both sculptures and canvases with oil pigment sticks, the idyllic ecosystem of Joshua Tree emphasizes Schneider’s love for his surroundings. Inspired by tree spirit mythology and German expressionism, Schneider’s sculptures are angular and sharp, while the wood elements and enticing color palette hints at the gentleness of wilderness and primal human instincts.
