Tosin Kalejaye

b. 1992, Abuja, Nigeria. Tosin Kalejaye is an Ondo State, Nigeria-based self-taught artist, who works primarily with charcoal, acrylic and oil on canvases and archival paper. Kalejaye uses his art to convey his ideas and impressions about modern society and the everyday Black experience. His art genre, widely ingrained in storytelling, representation, identity and historical documentation, intends to incite emotion in viewers.
