Vitshois M. Bondo

Born in 1981 in Kinshasa, DRC, confronts the challenge of deconstructing colonial imagery and representation through his art, which spans painting and collage. His work examines multiple fractured identities and geographical disparities, tackling themes of history, memory, and representation. Bondo’s approach to collage and painting invites a reevaluation of all sorts of different areas of conflict and anachronisms. He has held solo exhibitions at Primo Gallery, Milan; Mondo, Museum fur Kunst and Kulturgeschichte, Dortmund; Gallery Momo, Johannesburg, among others.
